Development of smart cities

Domestic smart cities started with the name of U-CITY (Ubiquitous City). The U-CITY project began with public initiatives centering on new cities such as Hwaseong Dongtan, Paju Unjeong, Daejeon Doan, and Songdo, Incheon in the early 2000 era. Was established. Today, the concept of smart cities is no longer a public-led new town development project. It has become a key means to efficiently manage and improve not only new cities but also existing cities, and has become a common goal for all cities. And the public is supporting various policies for the private sector to continue to develop and new technologies to settle into cities.

Information System of Smart City

The Smart City Information System is an online platform that collects and services various information produced in the process of promoting smart city policies in one place. It is a communication window for sharing knowledge and sharing various policies promoted by the public, such as smart city-related plans, smart city projects, R&D, and governance. We will build a deep trust relationship between the public, the private sector, and the general public for national policy by sharing smart city knowledge and information with not only experts in the smart city-related field but also the general public.

It also aims to be an archive of past, present and future policies beyond simple policy information services. Smart cities have become a common goal for all cities, and there is a great deal of information in the public sector. The recording of this information will be the footstep of domestic smart city policy, and it will be a useful resource to guide the future direction.
