The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on the 16th that it will operate a system to support epidemiological investigations of corona19 confirmed patients using smart city technology from the 11th.

The system identifies the path of movement of the patient who has been confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control, checks it on a map, and supports to quickly respond to Corona 19 with relevant statistical information.

The system was developed using the'Smart City Data Hub', which is being researched and developed in Daegu and Siheung, Gyeonggi-do, so that it can analyze various big data in various fields in the city such as transportation, energy, environment, and safety in real time.

In order to prevent the spread of corona19, the questionnaire identifies the location and path of transmission through in-depth epidemiological investigations, such as interviews with confirmed patients. come.

The government intends to apply this system in advance of Corona 19 response and plan to use it for future epidemiological investigations of infectious diseases.
