In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the four core businesses for manufacturing innovation are in full swing from this year –
Changwon City announced that it will promote the 4 core projects of the Smart Industrial Complex this year to improve the constitution of the Changwon National Industrial Complex as a smart leading industrial complex in order to make an economic leap forward and to revolutionize manufacturing.
Changwon National Industrial Complex is transformed into a future industrial complex that leads the 4th industrial revolution through innovation and smartization of manufacturing industry and 4 core projects (standard manufacturing innovation process module, innovation data center, process innovation simulation center) to expand the smart factory support infrastructure , Leading smart manufacturing innovation).
First, the standard manufacturing innovation process module construction project is from 9 to 19 years to establish a test line by industry for the demonstration of 21 technologies of smart manufacturing such as digital twin and CPS (Cyber Physics System) and a modular test bed based on global standards. As of now, the Electronic Components Research Institute is conducting business as a host organization with a plan to invest 450 billion won.
Through the establishment of test lines for flagship industries such as machinery, aviation, and defense, and advancement and standardization of digital twin-based processing processes, local companies are optimizing production processes, maximizing efficiency, and solving big data and artificial intelligence (AI) -based problems and manufacturing innovation. It is expected to pay.
Next, the innovative data center construction project will invest 22 billion won from this year to 160 years for data collection and processing by manufacturers and development of cloud-based smart factory solutions. It will accelerate the manufacturing innovation of industrial complexes by fostering privately-led data technology industry, and will be the basis for strengthening the professional competency of regional ICT specialists and creating high-quality jobs.
The project for establishing a process innovation simulation center is a project that supports performance prediction and verification through various simulations before product production by small and medium-sized enterprises, and plans to invest 22 billion won from this year to 402 years.
In addition to innovation in the local manufacturing industry, the company plans to promote manpower training, such as linking employment with industry, academia, research, and internships, so that it can become a focal point for fostering simulation experts who will increase demand in the future. It is expected that this project will reduce the cost of purchasing software and shorten the time required for product development.
The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Leading University Project is to build an educational innovation industry-academia model (Industry 4.0 Leading Center) to cultivate high-quality R&D human resources in the smart manufacturing field, and to operate a joint manpower training program between universities and companies in the region. It is planning to invest 22 million won.
Through this project, we plan to create a virtuous cycle ecosystem by fostering excellent manpower in the field of smart manufacturing, strengthening corporate competitiveness, expanding company attraction, and creating jobs.
Changwon City aims to build more than 4 companies in the Changwon National Industrial Complex by 2023, sales of 3,000 trillion won, 67 employees, and 15 smart factories by actively promoting the smart industrial complex development project, including the four core businesses.
It is expected that the smart industry ecosystem will be newly created to contribute to the vitalization of the local economy through direct and indirect economic ripple effects of 6 trillion won in production and 2 trillion won in value added.
Ryu Hyo-jong, Director of Smart Innovation Industry, said, “We will lead the Korean economy to make another leap forward by establishing a standard model of the future industrial complex in Korea where manufacturing innovation, youth jobs, and new industries are constantly evolving through fostering cutting-edge manufacturing industries that incorporate the Changwon National Industrial Complex with ICT.” Said.
