Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 2021 cities and counties in the province (Changwon, Jinju, Gimhae, Yangsan, and Goseong) were selected for the government subsidy support project for the establishment of ITS* by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in 5 and secured KRW 69 billion in national expenditure. .

Changwon, Jinju, Gimhae, Yangsan, and Goseong-gun, which were selected for the 2021 Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) construction support project in this Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport competition, invested a total project cost of KRW 2021 billion in 69, including KRW 108 billion. As a result, advanced traffic infrastructure such as smart intersections and emergency vehicle priority signal systems will be expanded and built on major roads in downtown areas.
Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) refers to a transportation system that collects and processes traffic information in real time using technologies such as electronic, information, communication, and control for a fast, safe, and comfortable transportation system, and provides it to users.
The main contents of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) establishment project of 2021 cities and counties in 5 are ▲ 10 smart intersections to improve the signal system of intersections ▲ 24 CCTVs for collecting traffic information ▲ Traffic information such as congestion zones and traffic accidents 12 road sign boards (VMS) for provision ▲ Emergency vehicle priority signaling systems to secure golden time for emergency vehicles will be installed in 20 locations.
