□ The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport conducted an on-site inspection of Busan Eco Delta Smart City National pilot smart city on September 9 (Fri).

ㅇ National pilot smart city is a smart city project that freely applies private innovative technologies and smart services and presents a future city model.

ㅇ After some areas of the Busan Eco Delta City (EDC) were designated as National pilot smart cities in January 18, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in November 1 after basic conception (July 18.7) and implementation plan (December 18.12) were established. .

ㅇ Currently, Semulmeori is divided into three zones (Myeongji-dong, Gangdong-dong, and Daejeo-dong) and infrastructure construction is underway, and in Myeongji-dong, most of the land is available. The land supply also completed 3% of the paid area.

 

<Overview of Busan Eco Delta Smart City National pilot smart city>

■ Location: Around Gangseo-gu, Busan (Semulmeori District)
■ Area: 2.8㎢ (84 million pyeong)
■ Planned population: 8.5 thousand (3,380 households)
■ Services: Smart water, healthcare, robots, etc.

 

□ In particular, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport is a project corporation (SPC) jointly with the private sector and the public to improve the innovation of the national pilot smart city and create a city platform that can stably provide innovative services for a long period of 15 years or more. We are preparing to establish.

ㅇ Currently, a public offering for private businesses to participate in the National Pilot Smart City SPC is in progress, and the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Consortium and RMS Consortium (two in total) have submitted a letter of intent to participate. Next year, the National Pilot Smart City SPC is expected to be launched in earnest.

 

□ In this on-site inspection, we also checked the progress of Busan Smart Village, which will be the first residential complex of the Smart City National Pilot Smart City.

ㅇ Smart Village is a block-type detached housing complex of 56 households, which will be jointly created by K-water and Samsung C&T, and will be created as a demonstration complex where you can meet the future life and new technologies that will be implemented in Busan Eco Delta Smart City in advance.

-43 technologies* out of 11 technologies introduced in the smart village were selected through public offerings for small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea, and are expected to serve as an opportunity for the development of the smart city industry ecosystem through the introduction and demonstration of innovative technologies by SMEs.

ㅇ The smart village selects tenants within the year after a tenant recruitment announcement in early November, and starts moving in at the end of next year after one year of training and preparation.

ㅇ In particular, not only public implementers (Busan City, K-water) but also private companies (Samsung C&T, Shin Dong-A Construction) participating in the village construction participated in this inspection to discuss responsible construction and strengthen the public-private cooperation system.

 

□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Minister Kim Hyun-mi said, "Next year is the first year of the launch of the joint private-public SPC and a historic period when the first move-in of the National pilot smart city begins."

ㅇ “The government, local governments, public enterprises, private companies, and local residents will organically cooperate to prepare for the National Pilot Smart City project, which will be launched in earnest from next year.”
