ㅇ(Project name) 「2021 K-City Network」 urban development plan establishment support project
– Comprehensive smart city development type including smart solution construction and operation
ㅇ(Project purpose) To develop a smart city cooperation project in collaboration with overseas governments to concretely create a global smart city and to share and disseminate the excellent technologies of each country to pursue mutual economic development.
ㅇ(Contents of support) Support smart city planning for smart city development projects promoted by foreign governments, and support Korea's smart city development experience and knowledge sharing through invitational training.
2. Application Eligibility and Target Projects
ㅇ (Applicant) Applying from overseas central and local governments
ㅇ (Target projects) Mid- to large-scale smart city projects such as new city development, complex development (industrial complex, residential complex, etc.) including the establishment and operation of a comprehensive smart solution
3. Support contents
ㅇ(Amount of support) Packaged support for Korean smart city planning and invitational training within the scale of 4 million won ($4 to 6 dollars) in 40 overseas cities
– (Planning) Smart city basic planning, master plan, (preliminary) feasibility study support, such as a plan to establish a comprehensive solution for solving problems across the city
– (Invited training) One-time support for smart city invitation training in connection with the support project
– (Subsequent support) In the case of a project with validity as a result of the support, support is scheduled for this project, such as PIS fund* investment and joint investment consultation with the Multilateral Development Bank

3. 「2021 K-City Network」 Smart Solution Overseas Demonstration Project Announcement
1. Project Overview
ㅇ(Project Name) K-City Network 2021 - Solution Demonstration Project
ㅇ(Project Description) This project will render support for demonstration projects in order to roll out or expand Korean smart city solutions in cities overseas that seek to adopt a smart city approach.
ㅇ(Purpose) This program aims to apply and demonstrate Korean smart city technologies in cities overseas to build a platform to promote and spread superior solutions overseas and create an opportunity for global cooperation projects.
2. Target
ㅇ(Applicant) Domestic institutions and companies that have smart solutions developed and verified in Korea and wish to expand overseas (but local institutions and consortiums are required)
ㅇ(Candidate Cities) Cities overseas that are suitable for demonstrating smart city solutions developed in Korea and willing to integrate Korean smart city technologies
ㅇ(Target solution) A smart city solution that has been developed and applied in Korea and wishes to be demonstrated abroad (in the form of a service, platform, system, etc. alone or in a package)
3. Support contents
ㅇ(Amount of support) Support for around 3~4 million won for 6 projects
ㅇ(Follow-up Support) After completion of this Project, outstanding projects will be granted follow-up support through such as a joint international program, including matching funds to further expand the relevant solutions and upgrade the technologies.
