– Selected 4 supporting industries, including logistics service demonstration (2 cases) and logistics demonstration city creation (6 cases) –

□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport selected a total of six projects, including four logistics service demonstration support projects and two logistics demonstration city development support projects as '2021 Digital Logistics Demonstration Complex Development Support Project*'.
ㅇ This project was conducted for the first time this year to solve urban logistics problems such as traffic congestion and safety accidents through the implementation of a digital logistics system.
ㅇ Participating institutions were recruited through public offerings for local governments and public institutions, and then the targets for support were selected through evaluation by an evaluation committee composed of experts.

□ The'Digital Logistics Demonstration Complex Construction Support Project' was divided into'Logistics Service Demonstration Support' and'Logistics Demonstration City Development Support' according to the target region and content.
ㅇ First of all,'Logistics Service Demonstration Support' is a project to demonstrate new logistics services in existing cities using smart logistics technologies such as robots and drones.
ㅇ'Support for the creation of a pilot logistics city' is a project to support the establishment of a logistics plan for new cities such as logistics facilities and logistics networks.

□ The review was a written evaluation and a presentation evaluation. The necessity, feasibility, and willingness of the project were comprehensively evaluated twice.
ㅇ The selected local governments and public institutions will receive government funding of 5 to 20 billion won each in consideration of the size and characteristics, and prepare a logistics plan for the target area and promote service demonstration.
ㅇ In addition, the Institute of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which has been selected as a project management institution, will support the project to be stably promoted, and will expand activities such as introducing best practices.

□ The main contents of the'Digital Logistics Demonstration Complex Creation Support Project' selected this time are as follows.

<Support for digital logistics service verification>

□ First, various demonstration projects were selected for the 「Digital Logistics Service Demonstration」 support project, such as robot and drone delivery using smart logistics technology, and the Last Mile* service that supports small business owners. The main contents are as follows.
* Last Mile: The stage just before the product or service is delivered to the customer.

① Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do: Traffic safety digital logistics innovation city such as robot and drone delivery

ㅇ Gimcheon City, along with Gyeongsangbuk-do, demonstrated drone delivery between logistics centers and delivery destinations, and autonomous logistics robot delivery services for public buildings and officetels.
ㅇ By using digital twin technology, we plan to collect information in the verification process and build an optimal transportation solution model through big data analysis and simulation.
* (Participating Institutions) Gimcheon City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea Expressway Corporation, Gyeongbuk IT Convergence Industrial Technology Institute, Yeungnam University, SK Planet, CJ Logistics, Mesh Korea, etc. 12 institutions

② Busan Metropolitan City: Collaborative last mile service between SMEs

ㅇ Considering the complex traffic conditions in the city center, Busan Metropolitan City plans to secure small logistics bases in the pilot districts (Dongnae, Busanjin, Yeonje, Sasang-gu) and promote demonstrations using eco-friendly mobility.
ㅇ Through this, it is expected to provide customized services to small business owners, and to reduce the intensity of work for workers such as delivery.
*(Participating Institutions) Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, PLG, Return Box

③ Jinan-gun: Living logistics service tailored to depopulated villages in rural areas

ㅇ Jinan-gun installs joint storage boxes for rural villages (Jinan, Maryeong, Jucheon, etc.), solves the difficulty of bringing it directly from farms to the destination through a tour collection service, and provides convenient payment service in connection with local currency. I plan to make it possible.
ㅇ In addition, step by step, we plan to link with life safety services such as caring for the elderly living alone, supplying local food, and sharing food materials among residents.

④ Jeju Island: Jeju-type shared logistics platform construction

ㅇ In order to improve difficulties such as high logistics costs due to the characteristics of the islands, Jeju Island plans to establish a shared logistics integrated platform to promote logistics transaction services (matching, reverse auction, payment) and facility information sharing services between users and suppliers.

<Support for the creation of a digital logistics pilot city>

□ The next two support targets for the “Digital Logistics Demonstration City Creation” were selected, and the main project details are as follows.

① Hwaseong Songsan Green City: Implementation of eco-friendly logistics system

ㅇ Korea Water Resources Corporation (K Water) targets Hwaseong Songsan Green City and reflects the characteristics of the earth, so that the southern district focuses on industrial logistics functions such as future transportation clusters, and the western district is environmentally friendly by considering complex development such as residential and commercial. A plan will be established focusing on the implementation of the type logistics system.

② Busan Eco-Delta City: Future logistics system construction

ㅇ To provide more convenient living logistics services to citizens in Busan Eco Delta City, plans to implement a future-oriented logistics system such as eco-friendly and co-delivery, test bed construction, and digital logistics platform construction will be prepared.\

□ These selected projects will begin in earnest from June after consultations on project details and scale of support with local governments and related organizations, and plan establishment and demonstration will be carried out.

□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Logistics Policy Officer Hyung-pil Jeon said, "Innovative logistics solutions such as robots and drones using smart technology were presented, and a pilot city for the future was also selected."
ㅇ “In the future, we will work hard to create a smart logistics system so that people can lead a more convenient and safer life.”
