The commercialization of autonomous driving requires the implementation of various technologies. In addition to the technologies installed in automobiles, various infrastructure technologies such as road facilities and vehicle-to-things communication must be convergence.
A lot of effort is being made to develop a 'V2X (Vehcile to everything)' communication technology that can create a safe and efficient autonomous driving environment by connecting all transport entities such as drivers, vehicles, pedestrians, infrastructure, and traffic centers.
KAIA has selected Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, as the 'level 4 level autonomous driving cooperation road test site' through an open call for local governments. Last year, we are conducting various and specific R&D to build autonomous driving infrastructure and provide services, such as creating and demonstrating an autonomous cooperative driving test bed in Hwaseong City.
