Gu city operates the nation's first 'Smart City Data Hub'
Daegu Smart City Data Hub Center opened in Suseong Alpha City
December 2022.02.23, XNUMX / MOLIT
Daegu City will open a data hub center that integrates and utilizes urban data, one of the key elements of smart city technology, to proactively discover and efficiently respond to urban problems.
Building a smart city data hub to support urban policy decision-making
Daegu City was selected in 2018 for the Smart City Innovation Growth Engine Project R&D Demonstration Project supervised by MOLIT and the Ministry of Science and Technology and KAIA in charge, and 69 institutions are participating in R&D. The Daegu Smart City Data Hub, built as part of the national demonstration project, is linked and operated with city data in areas such as traffic, safety, and urban administration and the existing Daegu city system. It has the functions of policy decision support and data industry revitalization.
Control service and data convergence analysis starting from the data hub
The control services provided through the data hub include traffic, safety, urban facilities, and legacy data. Currently, city data in many cities is only collected, stored, and managed in an integrated manner, so the actual utilization rate is not high. By collecting and analyzing data scattered throughout the city, it is possible to make urban policy decisions and to support the provision of optimal citizen services and the creation of corporate businesses.
Expansion of data hub artificial intelligence (AI) based smart transportation system
In order to solve the urban traffic problem, by '23, traffic information data is collected step by step through intelligent CCTVs at about 4 intersections within the 260th ring in the city, and it aims to analyze traffic information and optimize the traffic light signal cycle using artificial intelligence. Data is also important in smart transportation systems. The city of Daegu is preparing to collect dispersed data in one place centered on the smart transportation system and develop it into a representative smart city service through convergence analysis and practical application.

Daegu City plans to develop the Daegu Smart City Center, where the data hub center is located, as a landmark of the smart city Daegu. The plan is to organize and operate not only a data hub, but also a civic communication experience space, education space, and corporate growth space.

The bus stop is where I am standing! Use the 'shackle' in the neighborhood!
December 2022.02.17, XNUMX / MOLIT
The word “shuttle” is a compound word of “shuttle” and “circle,” which means group. It operates in blind spots where public transport is difficult to use. Shackle was selected as a special demonstration by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport. We provide public transportation services and operate routes flexibly according to user demand. In addition to this, we are improving the convenience of use for the elderly and those accompanying infants by introducing a seat system and providing baby seats.
The service started in April 2021 and by December 4, the cumulative number of users in Sejong City exceeded 2021, and it is said that the travel time was reduced by about 14 minutes compared to the existing bus.
