– In the data processing process, we decided to provide jobs by first recommending women and young people with career breaks.

Gyeonggi Province plans to open a digital database containing 3D data (data that visually expresses spatial information) of green areas such as parks and roadside trees in the city center so that it can be used for forest management such as calculating fine dust reduction or preventing forest fires.

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 2022th that it was selected as a participating institution for the 3 artificial intelligence learning data construction project 'Digital data of urban green using tree species 26D scanning and modeling' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and supported by the Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency.

'Digital city green data' can be used as basic data for urban forest management and carbon absorption calculation simulations to achieve carbon neutrality. In the event of a forest fire or a landslide, it can be used for landslide recovery through confirmation and simulation of tree species in the area.

Gyeonggi Province, SK Forestry, Catalonics, and Fridatsu will participate in this construction project under the supervision of Seoul National University. For the next 7 months, it plans to develop a multidimensional simulation model that can estimate public infrastructure, fine dust reduction and carbon absorption through 3D data collection of trees in downtown areas, and build digital data.

Gyeonggi Province will take on the role of data processing manpower support and opening in this project. The provincial government plans to give priority to data processing to women and young people who have had career interruptions through cooperation with the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, so it is expected to create jobs for the vulnerable in employment.

The established data is open to anyone including related companies in the province through AI Hub, which handles open data for artificial intelligence learning, and Gyeonggi Data Dream (data.gg.go.kr), a public data system for public use operated by Gyeonggi-do. will do

Jeon Seung-hyeon, head of Gyeonggi-do Data Policy Division, said, “Through this project, we expect not only to create jobs in the urban forest sector but also to systematically manage urban forests using standardized and precise data. will,” he said.

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province opened 9 cases of autonomous driving data collected from 60 cities and counties in Suwon and Seongnam at the beginning of this year. 180 million cases of infrastructure integration data were also opened.
