On the 2nd day, the focus was on practical networking between stakeholders in the special zone project and logistics experts for the successful implementation of the demonstration project.

Gyeongbuk Province organized the Smart Green Logistics Special Zone Safety Inspection Committee for safe demonstration and systematic management and supervision during the special zone designation period (21.7-25.7), and awarded 15 members a letter of appointment on the 26th.

The Safety Inspection Committee is composed of industry, academia, and research experts in the fields of local governments, transport equipment, logistics, firefighting and traffic safety, and construction, and performs safety management confirmation by project and monitoring of the status of safety measures throughout the entire process of the special zone demonstration.

Meanwhile, Gyeongbuk Smart Green Logistics Free Regulation Zone was designed to intensively foster the logistics industry, which is growing in line with the increase in non-face-to-face online distribution demand after the corona epidemic.

The core contents are short-distance same-day delivery using eco-friendly electric bicycles in preparation for the low-carbon era by building a distribution base (Golden Market, Innovation City) using the idle parking lot site in downtown Gimcheon.
