– Hungary’s industrial/tech exhibition held offline for the first time since the pandemic

– 405 companies and 1 people participated in the successful completion

From May 5 to 10, Mach-Tech & Industry Days 13 was held at Hungexpo, an exhibition hall in Budapest, Hungary. Marking its 2022th anniversary, Mach-Tech is a place to showcase Hungary's machine manufacturing technology. Industry Days, the ninth edition, covers Hungarian industry as a whole. During the same period, both exhibitions were jointly held, and 15 companies from 9 countries participated and presented their products. The number of visitors was estimated at about 15.

The exhibition includes the Hungarian Association of Automobile Manufacturers (MAJOSZ), the Budapest and Pest Regional Engineers Chamber (BPMK), the Hungarian Welding Association (MAHEG), the Hungarian Welding Technology and Materials Testing Association (MHtE), the Computer Science and Control Institute (SZTAKI), the Ministry of Innovation and Technology ( ITM) and the Society of Mechanical Engineering Sciences (GTE) participated as partners.

In a congratulatory speech for the opening of the exhibition, the Director of Economic Strategy and Regulation under the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) expressed his gratitude to the companies that overcame COVID-19, maintained employment, and continued to invest.

Gabor Gunzer, CEO of Hungexpo, said, “Last year, due to COVID-19, we had no choice but to hold this exhibition online, which was disappointing.” The organizers held this exhibition offline, but prepared a special corner on the official website so that you can experience it online as well. In the exhibition, various technologies such as welding technology, polymer recycling, paperless logistics, and 3D printing were presented through various program operations.

At the exhibition, companies that demonstrated innovative technologies were awarded the GRAND PRIX award 2022. Among the companies that manufactured or distributed products in Hungary, 7 companies were selected that showed the most innovative technology.

Winners include Abraziv Mérnöki Iroda és Gépgyártó Kft. (automobile special cleaning machine), Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs GmbH (smart IoT kit and smart air purifier), Losonczi Innovation Kft. (AXIS PRO measuring cell), Metal Trading & Consulting Tanácsadó és Kereskedelmi Kft. (large industrial scissor control unit), Pure Air Kft. (smart online remote monitoring oil filter), Trigo Precíziós Méréstechnika Kft. (laser tracking unit), Weidmüller Kereskedelmi Kft. (VARITECTOR PU IOT AC II 3+1 300/ 50), etc. In addition, SANXO-SYSTEMS Kft. received a special award for its digital microscope.

Korean companies also participated in Mach-Tech & Industry Days 2022. In particular, in the case of company H, a laser equipment manufacturer, a meeting with a Hungarian-based company was held at the exhibition with the support of the KOTRA Budapest Trade Center. An official from Company H evaluated, “Mach-Tech & Industry Days 2022 is a very meaningful exhibition to find business cooperation models.”

As the spread of COVID-19 has decreased, Mach-Tech & Industry Days, which were previously held online, were held offline. About 2022 people attended Mach-Tech & Industry Days 1.
