Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it had held a meeting with the head of the Latvian Investment and Development Administration to discover specific cooperative projects with Latvia.

On the 14th, Latvia's Kaspars Rose-Kalns, head of the Investment and Development Agency, Martinssi Baumanis, Korean representative of the Investment and Development Agency, and Peteris Podvinskis, Counselor of the Latvian Embassy in Korea visited Incheon to discuss mutual urban strategic industry cooperation.

Latvia, located in the middle of the three Baltic countries, is a European country similar to Korea in terms of its historical background and excellent science and technology.

Latvia is an advanced country in the IT field, and based on 5G and big data, it is fully promoting innovative digital businesses such as smart cities in connection with universities in Riga, the capital city.

Incheon City plans to promote exchanges with Latvia in Incheon-type strategic industries such as bio, smart city, air mobility, and startups.
