The Chuncheon city government invested 20 billion won, including the national budget, to build smart bus stops in 16 places in Chuncheon.
Smart bus stop is an eco-friendly bus shelter that considers user convenience such as purification of air polluted by fine dust and bus soot, provision of bus operation information, and public Wi-Fi service beyond the concept of a simple stop.
In addition to air conditioners, smart air purifiers and heated chairs can be installed to prepare for all weather conditions such as heat waves and cold waves.
In addition, intelligent CCTV and 112-connected safety emergency bells were installed at smart bus stops, and automatic defibrillators were installed at bus stops (3 places) where there is a high risk of an emergency, taking into consideration the safety of citizens.
