Paju City announced that it will support livestock farms with 6 million won this year to enhance their competitiveness by reducing production costs and managing optimal breeding.
The target of support was 7 local livestock farms (1 Korean beef, 4 pigs, 2 dairy farms), and the farm households that received preliminary applications last October were selected based on facility standards and productivity after consulting with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Food Education and Culture Information.
Support is provided according to the farm situation, such as environmental monitoring and control equipment inside and outside the livestock, automated equipment capable of remote control, and CCTV for observation of the breeding environment.
When the project is completed, the city expects that it will help improve the income of local farmers by reducing feed costs and labor, improving productivity, and reducing diseases by inducing systematic environmental management, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of the livestock industry.
Meanwhile, Paju City plans to recruit preliminary candidates in July to support the livestock sector expansion project next year, and plans to support smart equipment such as production management programs for selected farms later.
