– Provincial Agricultural Research and Development Institute held a meeting to discuss smart farm understanding and expansion plans –

On the 22nd, the Chungnam Agricultural Technology Institute held the 'Chungnam Smart Farm Expansion Council' to secure and further spread agricultural competitiveness through ICT convergence-based smart farms in the conference room of the Agricultural Research and Development Institute.

In the meeting held in the conference room of the Provincial Agricultural Research Institute, about 20 related public officials, including city and county agricultural technology centers, participated in the meeting to expand the market opening and respond to the rapidly changing agricultural environment.

Following the lecture on 'Understanding and Practical Smart Farm Technology' by Kim Gyeore Green Mars, a consultant, the council shared various opinions on how to spread and develop smart farms in Chungcheongnam-do.

Participants discussed improvements such as difficulties in applying automation of facilities using data during crop cultivation, which is a problem with smart farms, as well as on-site consulting, expansion of education, and reviews after installing advanced automation equipment.

The Provincial Agricultural Research Service plans to analyze and reflect various opinions on the development direction of smart farms to spread smart farms with competitiveness.

Hak-Heon Kim, Head of Horticultural Research Division, said, “In order for smart farm in Chungnam to develop further, it is necessary to understand smart farm application technology and to participate and collaborate with related organizations and farmers. I will use it,” he said.
