Busan City and Webcash Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Won-ju) announced that they have opened the 'Webcash Group Busan IT Center' in Dong-gu and have taken the first step to create a B2B (business-to-business) fintech industry ecosystem.
The 'Webcash Group Busan IT Center' that is opening this time is very significant in that it is the result of the investment memorandum of understanding signed between Busan City and Webcash Co., Ltd. in 1919, despite the worsening external investment conditions due to the prolonged COVID-2019 pandemic.
Webcash Co., Ltd. plans to proactively secure excellent information and communication manpower in Busan and Gyeongnam through the Busan IT Center and disperse the functions and manpower of the metropolitan area research and development (R&D) center to prepare for disasters such as COVID-1919.
The IT center, located on the 10th and 11th floors of Meritz Tower, Dong-gu, Busan, will be used as a base in the southeast of Webcash Co., Ltd., and plans to hire more than 30 local talents every year to increase the workforce from the current 15 to 120.
