The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young Lee, hereinafter MSS) announced the 'Smart Factory Supply and Expansion Support Project' in the second half of the year, and announced that it would accept applications from small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to participate from June 6 (Wednesday).

This announcement is a regular recruitment held in the second half of last year, following the first half of last year, so that demanding companies can apply for the business in consideration of business conditions.

The target of this recruitment is two projects: the establishment and advancement of smart factories and the K-Smart Lighthouse Factory fostering project.

First, 850 companies will be selected for 'Smart Factory Construction and Upgrade,' and a total of KRW 702 billion will be provided.

For customized support for each company, the support amount is differentiated to 5 million won for the basic stage and 1 million won for the advanced 2 according to the target level of intelligence (smartization).

Next, 'K-Smart Lighthouse Factory*', which supports the introduction of the highest-level intelligent factory (smart factory) applied with artificial intelligence, big data, and digital replicas (digital twin), also selected 4 companies, 4 billion won each.

This 'K-Smart Lighthouse Factory' was selected as two companies from the main industries* such as automobiles and electronics, and two companies from other industries** such as food and pharmaceuticals to present milestones for advancement by various industries. do.
