• Provide real-time information on the safety status of play facilities and prepare a safety accident prevention response system

The city of Cheonan announced that it has completed the construction of an information and communication-based 'smart safety management system' that can check the safety level of indoor playground equipment through QR codes (NFC-Local Area Network) as part of the children's life safety project.

Citizens can scan the QR code on the bulletin board of amusement facilities with their mobile phones to directly check the safety level of 877 amusement rides, such as the union playground, crossing equipment, and swings of 4,405 amusement facilities installed in housing complexes, city parks, daycare centers, and food service establishments. can be checked

In addition to the safety level, the city expects to increase the prevention of safety accidents and raise safety awareness by providing real-time monthly safety management status for 877 children's play facilities in the city.

Meanwhile, in the service satisfaction survey conducted after the implementation of the children's play facility smart safety management system, 93% of the respondents answered positively to the question of helping safety managers and supervisory agencies in reducing the work, indicating high satisfaction among business people.

In the meantime, safety management of play facilities under local governments was insufficient due to lack of expertise in infrastructure and work personnel, frequent personnel transfers, and concerns about various civil complaints and administrative dispositions in the event of a safety accident.

However, the smart safety management system can not only easily input the safety check contents previously written by hand into the system, but also report the stored information to the general department and supervision department in real time, enabling efficient safety management.

While establishing the smart safety management system for children's play facilities, the city decided to complete a complete investigation and inspection of all play facilities in the building to understand the current state of safety management and to make up for any deficiencies.

In accordance with Article 17-2 of the Children’s Play Facility Safety Management Act, the city will visit children’s play facilities in the building from next year to check safety requirements, provide safety training for facility managers, and provide guidance and supervision on the fulfillment of obligations, such as whether to purchase insurance plan to do

Sang-moon Jang, general manager of safety, said, “Children’s safety should be the top priority in all policies. It will be possible,” he said.
