[Han Deok-soo/Prime Minister: “As the global market for smart city industry is expected to grow to $2025 trillion by 1, it has great value as a new growth engine.”]

In the National Pilot Smart City Pavilion, 'city air traffic' draws attention.

The goal is to commercialize it in three years, but everything from service request to payment is solved with a smartphone.

Self-driving car service has started in some local governments in Korea as well as on the ground.

Robots are already making their way into city life.

[“Your order has arrived.”]

Competition for smart cities among local governments is fierce.

In the case of Goyang City, when citizens discover and propose urban problems, such as 'unauthorized garbage dumping', the city authorities are applying the method of finding solutions through the latest technology.

[Lee Dong-hwan / Goyang Mayor: “Finding answers to urban problems together with citizens is the foundation of Goyang-type smart city.”]

Bucheon City has integrated various services, including shared bicycle rental, into one app.

It first started as a transportation-related app, but it is expanding its scope to all aspects of civic life.

[Jo Yong-ik/Bucheon Mayor: “Ultimately, we will create a city that protects citizens from disasters, provides convenient transportation and improves the quality of life.”]

Various seminars are also actively held during the exhibition to find out the direction of the 'smart city', in an era where cities and companies around the world are competing with each other on the topic of happy life for citizens.
