“Next innovative technology” refers to technologies and services that have the potential to lead the smart city market in the future due to their high innovativeness and competitiveness, although it is difficult to actively introduce them because their performance or effectiveness has not yet been sufficiently verified.

Although sufficient investment and demonstration are necessary to commercialize it, consumers (local governments, public, etc.) purchasing innovative technologies and services are often hesitant to introduce them due to concerns about effectiveness and safety, and companies that have developed innovative technologies In the case of a sprout or start-up company that lacks empirical examples or sales performance, it is difficult to meet customers or to have sales opportunities, which slows down commercialization.

In order to solve these difficulties, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport received applications for the “Smart Next Innovative Technology Demonstration Project” from August 5nd to September 8th, which supports the securing of demand and demonstration for early market development support for new start-up companies with innovative technologies within 22 years of entrepreneurship.

A total of 20 companies participated in the public offering, and this event was held to support matching of 14 companies that could not secure a potential customer.

The first matching event, held on October 18, is a place where the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport invites local governments and public companies desired by companies to explain technology and services. You can get the next opportunity.

On October 20, local governments wanting innovative technologies will also hold a second event for mutual exchange between companies and local governments by inviting companies that have not secured demand sources.

Through this event, written and presentation evaluations will be conducted from November 3 for companies that have been connected to customers through this event, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport will conduct an evaluation for 8 to 10 excellent companies evaluated for their high innovation and competitiveness in technology and services. A maximum of 1 million won per location and a total of 6 billion won will be supported.

In addition, companies will be provided with an opportunity to accumulate sufficient demonstration results for more than 8 months, such as demonstrating technologies, locations, and service utilization plans, by signing business agreements with customers such as local governments, and to spread them to neighboring areas.
