Held 'Promotion Status Reporting for Acquisition of Smart City International Certification'
Suwon City, which obtained domestic smart city certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in September, is promoting 'smart city international certification'.
Suwon City held a 'Promotion Status Report for Acquisition of Smart City International Certification' at the video conference room of City Hall on the 20th, presided over by the 2nd Deputy Mayor Hwang In-guk.
Smart city international certification (ISO 37106) is a smart city certification standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2018. BSI (British Standards Institute) is in charge of examination and certification.
The first screening (preliminary screening of evidence) was conducted on the 6th, and the second screening is scheduled on November 1th and 11th. The second screening consists of an interview with Lee Jae-jun, Mayor of Suwon, an interview with the head of the department, and a field visit.
The screening subjects are 4 items in four areas: ▲business management, ▲citizen-centered service management, ▲technology and digital asset management, and ▲profit realization strategy.
Evaluation items include ▲city vision ▲investment in smart data ▲implementation of citizen-centered integrated services ▲digital inclusion and channel management ▲smart city development and infrastructure management. Certification can be obtained by securing level 22 (maturity) or higher in all 3 items.
The 2nd Vice Mayor Hwang In-guk said, “The ultimate goal of creating a smart city is to improve the quality of life for citizens. ” he urged.
