<2022 Hongcheon-gun Smart City Council Capacity Building Training: Wonju City Tour>

On October 20, Hongcheon-gun conducted a field trip to Wonju-si and Osan-si for smart city best practices for the Hongcheon-gun smart city council.

This field trip was conducted as part of the 'Hongcheon-gun Smart City Consultative Body Competency Reinforcement Training' to create a Hongcheon-type smart city, and 11 smart city consultative bodies attended.

The consultative body visited Wonju City and Osan City, heard about the process and achievements of creating a smart city based on public-private cooperation from the project manager, and toured the project site.

Through Q&A, the consultative body deals with various topics such as the use of Living Lab for smart city creation, the establishment and use of an online Living Lab platform, and ideas for designing smart services that local residents actually experience, and Hongcheon-type smart city that reflects the characteristics of the region. I was actively looking for a way to make a model.

A military official said, “Through this tour, we were able to identify that public-private partnership based on Living Lab is the most important factor in creating a smart city.”

Meanwhile, the Hongcheon-gun Smart City Council is a public-private consultative body composed of about 50 public officials, residents, research institutes, and private companies to create a smart city model.

Previously, on September 9, the military launched the second smart city council based on public-private cooperation, and the smart city council capacity building training program is in progress on average once a week until December 15.
