An official from Busan City explained the background of the seminar, saying, "Today's seminar was held thanks to policy consensus between the two cities for a better life for citizens regarding future lifestyle changes and active cooperation between the Embassy of Finland in Korea and Korea Water Resources Corporation." .

「Busan-Helsinki Smart City & Data Access and Utilization Seminar」, under the theme of 'Smart City Case Study and Various Data Approaches', shared best practices and data approaches of both cities for smart city creation and improved the lives of citizens. It illuminates the various data policies that affect it.

The seminar is conducted in English and consists of three parts.

In the first part, under the theme of 'Why Smart City Cooperation?', Antti Niemela, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Finland in Korea, explained the background and purpose of the seminar, and representatives from both cities introduced the direction of smart city. In Busan, Lee Jun-seung, head of the Digital Economy Innovation Department, will emphasize the necessity of smart cities and the importance of cooperation between the two cities in the era of the 4th industrial revolution and digital transformation. In Helsinki, Chief Digital Officer Mikko Rusama introduces the city of Helsinki's policy.

In the second part, Kerkko Vanhanen, program director of Helsinki Forum Virium*, introduced the smart city of Helsinki under the theme of 'Smart City Cases and Approaches', and Korea Water Resources Corporation Kim Do-gyun Smart The head of the City Operations Department presents the Eco Delta Smart City Smart Village in Busan.
