Started operating the integrated platform for national land use information... 4 system integration

Starting next year, the government will gather and manage various national land use information that is being distributed and operated in various systems in one place.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport announced on the 19th that it will start operating the National Land Use Information Integration Platform (KLIP) in phases from next year.

In the meantime, MOLIT and local governments have distributed and managed urban planning information and regional/district information restricting land use through four types of systems. As a result, there was a problem of missing information or providing different information in some systems.

It was in 2020 that the government began building an integrated platform for national land use information.

As a result, integrated platforms have been built in 229 out of 93 local governments by this year, and local governments that have completed construction will begin official operation next year.

MOLIT has made up for deficiencies through pilot operation, and plans to enact and issue the 'regulations on the operation of integrated national land use information platform' within this year to start operation of local governments that have completed construction.

MOLIT announced that it will systematically manage urban planning information from the establishment stage through an integrated platform and disclose it in a form that is easy for anyone to use.

The results of a large-scale basic survey, which was only a one-time use, are also gathered on the integrated platform.

MOLIT predicts that high-quality urban planning information managed by a single system will not only increase the stability of individual real estate transactions and large-scale development projects, but also contribute to the vitalization of proptech that utilizes land use regulation information.

Gil Byeong-woo, director of urban policy at MOLIT, said, "Through this integrated platform, it is expected that the up-to-dateness and accuracy of national land use information provided to the general public will increase."
