Base-type smart city is a project to create a smart base that can lead the spread of smart city by developing and building comprehensive solutions to solve problems across the city. Support the dissemination of innovative city services so that they can function as a diffusion base.

This year, two cities that can serve as smart bases are selected, and each selected region plans to provide 2 billion won in government funding for 3 years (local budget 200:1 matching).

Through this project, it is planned to support deregulation through the smart city regulatory sandbox to demonstrate and commercialize innovative technologies, and to provide special support for space regulation to create urban spaces that meet the needs of companies and local governments.

[② (Environmental Change Specialized Solution) Strong Small Smart City]

Small but strong smart city is a project to create a leading city that integrates specialized solutions so that small and medium-sized cities can have sustainability and competitiveness by securing the ability to respond to recent environmental changes such as climate crisis and local extinction.

This year, we plan to select a total of four locations, including two locations that respond to the climate crisis, such as an eco-friendly, carbon-neutral specialized city and a climate disaster-zero leading city, and two locations that respond to regional extinction, such as a city that responds to population change and a city that supports vitality of local industries.

This project targets cities with a population of less than 100 million, and the selected project sites are planned to be supported with 2 billion won from the national budget for a total of 120 years (local budget 1:1 matching).

The solution diffusion project is a project that allows people to experience smart city services by evenly distributing smart solutions whose effectiveness has been verified, such as smart crosswalks and smart bus shelters, nationwide.

In the regions selected through this project, a supply solution will be built first, and standard guidelines for supply solutions will be presented, coaching by leading local governments with experience in demonstration, and consulting by specialized institutions will be supported.

The target of support is local governments with a population of less than 30, and through this contest, a total of 8 business sites are selected, and each project site plans to support 1 billion won in national expenses for one year (local budget 20:1 matching).

The smart city creation and expansion project will be announced collectively on February 2, and the solution expansion project will have a reception period from March 6 to 3, small and strong and stronghold projects from April 28 to 30, and related fields The final selection will be made in April after evaluation by an evaluation committee composed of experts.
