Mayor Choi attends the Transportation Innovation Forum to share 'Sejong-type transportation system' with the world

The Transport Innovation Forum (Transforming Transportation 2023), which was followed by participation, is a world-class academic conference where leaders in the transportation sector from around the world, including public, private, academia, and civil society, come together to share sustainable transportation development experiences and discover new policies.

 

It is held every year in Washington DC, USA, and this year, it is held from the 2,000th to the 14th under the theme of 'Accelerating Toward Green And Inclusive Mobility' with the participation of about 15 transportation experts from around the world. done.

 

A delegation from Sejong City and the Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) participated in this academic conference, and the city jointly held a session with the Korea Transport Institute under the theme of 'Demand Response Type Transportation System for Integrated Transportation System'.

 

The session was attended by Mayor Choi Min-ho, President Oh Jae-hak of the Korea Transport Institute, Park Kyung-ah, Director of the Korea Transport Institute, Kim Soo-young, Hyundai Motor Company Executive Director, Jang Min-joo, Director of External Relations, Shomik Raj Mehndiratta, World Bank Manager, and Professor Park Brian, University of Virginia. did.

 

At the forum, the city presented the background and operational examples of ▲Shuckle (city-type demand-response bus) ▲Duruta (rural-type demand-response bus) ▲Nuricall (call taxi for the transportation disadvantaged).

 

In particular, he explained the value as a future means of transportation, emphasizing that it is leading a great response by providing customized transportation services to citizens.

 

Duruta was selected as an excellent example of a balanced development project supervised by the National Balanced Development Committee under the direct control of the President in that it realized transportation welfare and eliminated public transportation blind spots.
