MOLIT, together with IDB, held the “Big Data for Smart City” online training program.
□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IDB*, an international organization, for co-investment cooperation in smart cities and infrastructure from October 2019, and has been cooperating with IDB* this time. Together, “Big Data for Smart City” online training program was held.

□ Central and South America will require an annual investment of $30 billion for infrastructure development over the next 1,500 years, and the global PPP market is expected to expand to $10 trillion over the next 1 years. Accordingly, it was determined that smart city-related education was necessary, so IDB and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport jointly created a smart city education program* for public officials in Latin American countries.

□ The main goal of this training is to share knowledge and experience on domestic smart cities and big data so that Latin American public institutions can learn the importance of smart cities.
It is to learn, and to make Latin American cities more efficient, technologically advanced and eco-friendly in the future.
□ The training course starts on April 4th and runs until May 4th. Currently, about 5 South American government officials have registered to take the training, and more registrations are expected.
□ Through this program, a good influence on the use of smart cities and big data solutions will occur, and it is expected that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport will cooperate with various international organizations to promote domestic smart city technologies in the future.
