On the 8th, Gyeongsangbuk-do held a report on the completion of 「Establishment of the 2nd stage of disaster safety smart city integrated platform」for the realization of a smart safe city at the Provincial Government Anmin-gwan.
Gyeongsangbuk-do Disaster Safety Smart City Integrated Platform was built to integrate and connect data scattered in Gyeongbuk, such as CCTV images and Internet of Things (IoT), in one place.
It is a cloud-based disaster information joint utilization system that can be used for disaster prevention, response, recovery, investigation and analysis of Gyeongbuk Province, cities and counties, and central and related organizations.
The integrated platform consists of a 'wide area video hub function' that collects 23 CCTV images through a smart city network linked to 3 cities and counties, a 'disaster sensor hub function' that standardizes and collects precipitation, water level, snow, and earthquake data sensors scattered in cities and counties, and a 'disaster service hub function' of satellite and aerial images of disaster sites linked to the National Geographic Information Service, and drone images.
Various information of the integrated platform is used for disaster prediction, provision of real-time information on disaster situations, disaster recovery, investigation and analysis, as well as video support at the scene of an incident, wanted vehicle tracking (police), 119 dispatch video support service (fire), and electronic anklet violation rapid arrest service (Ministry of Justice).
Meanwhile, prior to the completion briefing session, Gyeongbuk Province Governor Lee Cheol-woo, Gyeongbuk National Police Agency Director Choi Joo-won, and National Geographic Information Institute Director Cho Woo-seok, an organization that owns and operates satellites* in Korea, attended.
* It is the first national land satellite ('21.10.) developed to respond to public demand in Korea and can acquire satellite images with a resolution of 50 cm in black and white and 2 m in color.
Through this agreement, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province will be provided with satellite and aerial images and processed information (digital topographic map, population and building statistics) of the area at the time of disaster occurrence through a hotline, so that it can check the disaster situation without visiting the disaster site in person.
Through this, it is expected that it can be used to quickly calculate the scale of damage and efficiently utilize spatial information in disaster areas such as secondary disaster situation control.
Cheol-Woo Lee, Governor of North Gyeongsang Province, said, “The signing of this business agreement will be a catalyst for the utilization of spatial information in all areas of smart cities, such as transportation, environment, and welfare, beyond the use of disaster and safety fields.”
