Starting on the 26th, real-time monitoring of safety in the entire area of Hamdeok Beach was promoted.

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Jeju Technopark will promote real-time monitoring of the safety of beach users in the area of Hamdeok Beach from the 26th, using hydrogen drones that can stay in the air for a long time this year as well as last year.

This drone real-time monitoring is operated to quickly identify and respond to dangerous situations of beach users by monitoring visitors entering dangerous areas and checking abnormal signs in real time at Hamdeok Beach General Situation Room and Jeju Drone Integrated Control Center.

In particular, the hydrogen drone used this time has not only a monitoring function, but also a function to immediately drop a life-saving tube in case of a drowning person, and is expected to contribute to rapid lifesaving at the beach.

In addition, hydrogen drones are operated in the direction of the sea in dangerous areas other than crowded areas such as sandy beaches for safety, and all video data is used only for user safety and rescue, and personal information exposure is prevented through thorough management in accordance with the personal information processing guidelines. policy.

Kim Chang-se, head of the Jeju Innovation Industry Bureau, said, “We will actively use drones that have been operated so far to prevent user safety accidents due to the early opening of beaches, and through this, we will realize a safe and pleasant Jeju.”
