– Explanation of cases of safety and disaster restoration in Songdo International City, exchange of opinions on future directions and tasks –

Incheon City shared the case of Songdo International City, one of the representative smart city cases, with Tianjin City in China, and had time to suggest development plans.

On June 6, Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Yoo Jung-bok attended a meeting hosted by Tianjin City-Deloitte to share smart city-related policies and achievements of both cities, and exchanged opinions on future directions and tasks.

At the meeting, Deputy Mayor Yang Bing of Tianjin, China first announced policies related to Tianjin's smart city, and then Mayor Yu Jeong-bok explained the case of Incheon's smart city.

Songdo International City, a representative smart city, has established urban functions and installed infrastructure so that it can be connected with the surrounding area while maintaining self-sufficiency through careful urban planning.

In particular, by actively adopting advanced ubiquitous and smart city technologies, information and communication infrastructure was installed throughout the city and an integrated operation center was established. The integrated operation center provides various data-based city services to citizens and manages the safety and disaster situation of the entire Songdo International City in connection with police and fire agencies. In 2021, it was the first in Asia to receive the certification of a 'Resilience Hub' that is strong against climate change and disasters from the United Nations.

“Songdo International City is a representative smart city with convenient and safe living conditions through various cutting-edge systems,” said Mayor Yu Jeong-bok. .
