Gyeonggi-do announced on the 86th that in the first half of this year, it took drone pictures of 2.9㎢ (approximately 30 times the area of ​​​​Yeouido, 19㎢) and used it for provincial policy work.

Since 2018, Gyeonggi-do has hired four experts with ultra-light flight control qualifications to operate the Land Information Division and Spatial Information Drone Team.

In the first half of this year, 149 videos and 3 orthophotos/179D modeling were produced, resulting in a budget savings of approximately KRW 15 billion (orthophoto/6D modeling: KRW 3 million per 0.25㎢, KRW 626 million per video).

On the other hand, the provincial government established an emergency aerial photography plan using drones for rapid damage recovery in the event of a disaster, and notified each department of the provincial government, affiliated organizations, and cities and counties to request drone video filming if necessary.
