ㅇ In 2022, Oman Shell and KEC signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for the construction of a solar power plant
ㅇ Oman Shell is strengthening its presence in Oman’s renewable energy and eco-friendly fuel sector, investing in the production of green hydrogen, renewable synthetic LNG, green ammonia and zero-carbon fuels.
– In addition, various green initiatives such as the introduction of PV power generation systems at schools, hydrogen-powered vehicles at Oman Airport, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure are being pursued.
ㅇ KEC, Oman’s first integrated economic city, encourages the development of used vehicle engine oil recycling projects and other green energy projects for environmentally friendly regional development
– Total area of 3,200 million square meters, total investment as of mid-2023 is about 3.16 million Rial ($8.21 million)
