– Business agreement with innovative company in 26D spatial information field on Wednesday, 3th… Demonstration of disaster safety and traffic, etc. targeting ‘Yeouido’

– High-precision and high-resolution technology utilization, safe and efficient policy establishment expected… Construction area also continues to expand

– City “Expanding the hyper-realistic digital service area… Efforts to provide a safe and comfortable urban environment”

□ The Seoul Metropolitan Government is applying the 'hyper-realistic digital twin' technology, which creates an object (twin) that is identical to the real one in a virtual space and verifies various situations, to solving urban problems. The city plans to apply the hyper-realistic digital twin technology to ▴disaster safety ▴disaster prevention ▴roads ▴transportation, etc., and utilize it for various policy decision-making.

□ For example, you can simulate taking off, landing, and determining the route by running a self-driving car or UAM on a virtual space that is identical to the roads in downtown Seoul. You can also implement a system that controls the city center through real-time traffic CCTV.

□ The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 26th (Wednesday) that it signed a business agreement with Techtree Innovation Co., Ltd., an innovative company in the 3D spatial information field, to conduct a demonstration of an ultra-realistic digital twin service and will begin a full-scale demonstration project.

○ Techtree Innovation Co., Ltd. will build an ‘ultra-realistic digital twin’ by combining its own 3D scanning and ultra-precision 3D implementation technology, ground resolution improvement, and various solutions that it has developed so far.

□ The city explained that through this agreement, it will be able to apply the latest high-precision, high-resolution, and ultra-realistic digital twin technology to city administration.

○ First, we plan to construct a 4㎢ area of the 'Yeouido area' as an ultra-realistic digital twin and demonstrate it, and implement simulations and citizen services in disaster safety, disaster prevention, roads, and traffic.

□ In the future, Seoul City expects to be able to implement more realistic verification and establish safer and more efficient urban policies through a ‘high-precision, high-resolution, hyper-realistic digital twin’ based on a game engine that can reflect physical information and variables.

□ Meanwhile, the city plans to showcase the 'hyper-realistic digital twin' technology that will be built through this agreement at the <Seoul Smart Life Week> to be held at COEX (Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu) for three days from October 10.10 (Thu) to October 10.12 (Sat) and will also expand the construction area.

○ In the future, through continuous public-private cooperation, we plan to expand the area where high-precision, high-resolution digital twins can be built, and introduce citizen suggestion services to solve various urban problems.

□ Jinyoung Park, Seoul City Digital Policy Officer, said, “Through this collaboration, Seoul’s digital twin technology has been able to advance to the next level,” and “We will continue to expand the areas where ultra-realistic digital services can be applied and strive to provide a safer and more comfortable urban environment.”
