This report meeting was prepared to create conditions to secure momentum for the full-scale promotion of the project following the designation of the project executor in March.
Sejong Smart City Co., Ltd., the national pilot smart city construction project operator, announced the direction of development of the pilot district and the smart service provision plan to be provided in the 5-1 living area.
The business corporation mainly explained the development direction for the approximately 10 pyeong area of the pilot district, the mobility services to be provided in the 5-1 living area National pilot smart city, and 21 urban infrastructure and life innovation services such as digital twins.
Attendees provided additional opinions on development directions and actively listened to difficulties encountered in the process of developing the National Pilot Smart City pilot district in a difficult real estate market environment.
The city plans to closely monitor future plans, including the progress of the project and the sales schedule, as many citizens are interested in and waiting for the National Pilot Smart City pilot district.
In addition, we will continue to monitor the smooth progress of the project by actively providing administrative support, such as leading cooperation between related organizations under the city leadership for future procedures.
Mayor Choi Min-ho emphasized, “We must differentiate ourselves based on the city’s identity as a green garden city and a Hangeul city,” and “We must also reflect changing situations, such as the construction of the second office of the president and the National Assembly building, and design a sustainable city centered on users that takes into account citizens and resident organizations.”
Currently, the pilot district is in the process of establishing a specialized plan, and construction will begin in earnest after obtaining permits and completing architectural design.
