Daejeon City, MOLIT, etc. Digital Platform-based Aging Plan Urban Development Business Agreement
Public data 3D simulation and other digital information used in establishing basic plans
□ On the 8th, Daejeon City signed a 'Digital Platform-based Aging City Planning Promotion Business Agreement' with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, LX (Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation), Busan, and Incheon at KINTEX in Ilsan.
The digital platform aims to systematically promote aging city development projects and support rapid decision-making through digital twin-based simulations, and is scheduled to be built by LX within this year.
ㅇ Through this business agreement, local governments are expected to be able to establish basic plans for promoting the development of aging cities more quickly and accurately by receiving digital information such as the latest public data, integrated complex plans for designating special development zones, complex plans and view rights through 3D simulations, and analysis of the amount of sunlight.
□ In the meantime, Daejeon City has been conducting basic surveys to establish a basic plan for urban redevelopment in the aging plan through a service for establishing a long-term land management plan that began in early 2023.
ㅇ In 2025, the basic plan for the aging urban development of Dunsan District and Songchon District (including Beopdong and Jungni Districts) will be completed and administrative procedures for approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport will be implemented. In addition, among the integrated complexes designated as special development zones at the basic plan establishment stage, a public contest will be held for the pilot district where the development project will be carried out first.
□ A Daejeon City official said, “Going forward, we will actively utilize the aging city planning digital platform to establish a quick basic plan and continue to consult with LX, a development support organization, for scientific and systematic management of development projects.”
