- 5 projects selected for blockchain industry internalization support project, 7 million won support per company -
＊(Support for internalization of blockchain industry) Support for companies in all industries to utilize blockchain technology to spread blockchain technology.
This project is part of the '2024 Incheon Blockchain Hub City Development Project' jointly promoted by Incheon City and Incheon Technopark, and aims to support the spread of blockchain technology within the region by linking local demand companies seeking to introduce blockchain technology with supply companies that possess related technologies. A budget of 7 million won per project will be provided to selected projects.
To this end, a recruitment notice for participating companies was posted from October 10 to 30, and demand and supply companies in various fields such as smart factories, logistics, medical/bio, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), voting, food history management, the Internet of Things (IoT), and content submitted nine tasks through the consortium. Afterwards, five consortium companies were finally selected through a fair evaluation based on criteria such as the necessity of technology introduction, business execution ability, and commercialization potential.
The selected companies are ▲Leadpoint System ▲J&P Medi ▲Creative Code ▲Triple ▲Future Sense, and they cover various fields such as food and pharmaceuticals, bio, clothing, product copyright, and food logistics. In particular, ▲Leadpoint System ▲J&P Medi ▲Future Sense participated in the Incheon Blockchain Pavilion of 'GITEX Expand North Star 2024', the largest information technology (IT) exhibition in the Middle East held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates last October, and achieved excellent results, showing the possibility that Incheon's internalization of the blockchain industry will lead to overseas expansion starting from Incheon.
Yoo Je-beom, Director of Incheon’s Future Industry Bureau, said, “Through this blockchain technology internalization support project, we will strengthen the connection between companies in need of blockchain technology and companies that possess the technology in the region, and accelerate the creation of Incheon’s blockchain ecosystem by spreading the technology to various industries.”
Through this project, Incheon City is expected to increase the utilization of blockchain technology, strengthen the competitiveness of local industries, and stand out in the global market.
