-NAACC, 22 organizations including public institutions and private companies participate in launching 'Philippine Team Korea'
NAACC (Director Hyung-ryeol Kim) is using its know-how in building happy cities and its international network to support our companies in developing the Philippine urban development market. On the 23rd, NAACC announced that it had formed Team Korea for its entry into the Philippines and held an inauguration ceremony.
NAACC signed an MOU with the Philippines Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in September of last year and is pursuing cooperation related to urban development. BCDA is an organization that oversees major urban development projects in the Philippines, including New Clark City, the “second Manila,” and is hoping to collaborate with Korean companies, so NAACC decided to arrange a meeting between BCDA and companies through Team Korea.
On this day, 22 organizations and companies, including the Korea Overseas INfrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), the Overseas Construction Association, and the Smart City Association, attended the launch ceremony of Team Korea in the Philippines and signed the Team Korea operation agreement. BCDA Director Joshua Bincan delivered a congratulatory message via video.
Team Korea Philippines is planning various activities to support future orders, such as information sharing, business strategy consulting, and personnel exchange, and NAACC and BCDA are also planning to create opportunities for exchange and cooperation between Team Korea and local Philippine companies.
NAACC Director Kim Hyung-ryeol said, “We will take the lead in expanding the K-city model in the Philippines by combining NAACC’s experience and best practices in building happy cities with our companies’ technologies and know-how,” and “We plan to actively support our companies so that they can demonstrate their capabilities in a wider market.”
BCDA Director Bangkang said, “We look forward to building a smart and inclusive city based on our cooperation with Team Korea, contributing to the development of both countries.”
