8 metaverse convergence projects to support and foster metaverse industry convergence in the province

- Up to 1 million won per year (single-year project) per project, applications accepted until March 1

– Support for verification of advanced technology convergence such as digital twins, collaborative robots, and AI-based spatial computing

Gyeonggi Province and the Economic and Scientific Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) are publicly recruiting companies to participate in the '2025 Metaverse Industry Convergence Support and Verification' project until the 12th of next month, with the goal of creating innovative results through convergence between the metaverse (VR/AR) and existing industries.

This project aims to promote productivity innovation and future industry growth by incorporating metaverse technology into various industrial fields such as manufacturing, architecture, and urban planning. A total of eight projects will be selected and each project will be supported with up to 8 million won.

It supports the commercialization of metaverse technology centered on small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial field, and the main target of support is cutting-edge technology convergence projects such as digital twins, collaborative robots, and AI-based spatial computing. Selected companies will receive support for technology development and verification costs, as well as participation in joint pavilions at domestic and international industrial exhibitions, and networking opportunities through performance sharing sessions and forums.

Last year, nine participating companies achieved economic results, including 9 intellectual property rights, 21 billion won in corporate sales, and 76 new jobs.

Companies wishing to apply should apply through EZBIZ (egbiz.or.kr) by the 12th of next month. Afterwards, a selection evaluation committee comprised of experts in each field will be formed to select and support the final project.
