– Team Korea dispatched to New Clark City, Philippines for development cooperation purposes –

NAACC (Director Hyung-ryeol Kim) led the ‘Team Korea Philippines’ (hereinafter referred to as Team Korea) delegation to visit the Philippines from February 2 to 25 to help with urban development in the Philippines and support the market entry of our companies.

 

NAACC established Team Korea in January to support collaboration between Korean companies and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), the main urban development agency in the Philippines, and currently has 1 organizations participating.

 

This visit to the Philippines was attended by 15 organizations including Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Overseas Construction Association, and Smart City Association. The Team Korea delegation met with high-ranking officials of BCDA and its affiliated organizations, Philippine companies, and had time to network and devise cooperation plans.

 

The delegation held a Team Korea cooperation meeting in Clark on the 25th, heard about the status of BCDA’s projects, introduced Korean companies, and held a Korea-Philippines business meeting (B2B). In addition, through meetings with key BCDA officials, they discussed ways to expand opportunities for Korean companies to participate in Philippine infrastructure and urban development projects.

 

Additionally, on the 25th and 26th, he visited major project sites such as New Clark City, Clark Free Trade Zone, Clark International Airport, and Bonifacio Global City to directly examine local business conditions.

 

Park Sang-ok, the Planning and Coordination Director who led the delegation’s visit, said, “We expect this visit to further strengthen the urban development cooperation network between Korea and the Philippines,” and “We will continue to support Team Korea’s activities so that they can lead to outcomes for our companies, such as new business creation or contract acquisition.”
