Daejeon City won the grand prize by presenting 'Smart City Citizen Safety 20 University Linking Service' at the 'Smart City Service and Entrepreneurship Contest' jointly hosted by MOLIT, MSIT, Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the afternoon of 5.
'Civil Safety 5 Linked Service *' provides CCTV images in real time to 112, 119, patrol cars, and disaster situation rooms by utilizing CCTVs installed throughout Daejeon. It is the nation's first service to support.

The competition was organized to discover smart city new service ideas and best practices, and to spread smart cities with the participation of 494 individuals, companies and organizations nationwide.
The jury, composed of experts in the field of smart cities, selected 1 finalists through the 27 round of finalists, and finally decided on the prize level through presentation review in the 2 round.

On the other hand, the linked service established in Daejeon is spreading to the local governments through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and is expected to be distributed to all 22 local governments by this year.
