Expansion of additional 5000 generations in Incheon

Recruitment of Incheon Smart Grid Expansion Project Participants

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will recruit additional participants in the 3 project for the next generation smart grid expansion project.

This year, the last year of the pilot project, 'Smart Grid Spreading Project' was established by Incheon Metropolitan Government to enter into an agreement with MOTIE and KEPCO Consortium. It is a business.

In the meantime, Incheon city has completed AMI installation and management system construction for 2016 1,500 and 2017 7,500.

As a result of the announcement in the first half of the project, the 1,000 was closed early due to increased satisfaction of apartments, so the city has been seeking to secure additional 5,000 volumes in consultation with KEPCO.

The additional recruitment targets are apartment buildings with high power consumption, and after the approval of the tenant's representative meeting, the project will be confirmed by the KEPCO consortium through power efficiency evaluation and site verification.

MOTIE, Incheon City, and KEPCO Consortium pay the full cost of construction, and there is no cost burden for customers.

'Smart Grid' is a system that can efficiently manage energy by integrating information and communication technology (IT) into the existing power grid by exchanging real-time information in both directions by power providers and consumers.

Smart Grid-applied apartments provide 'SG-Power Planner' application services to allow household users to receive energy management services anytime, anywhere through their smartphones.

SG-Power Planner is equipped with basic information such as real-time power consumption, electricity rate, and neighboring rate comparison, and it is equipped with analysis function of hourly, weekly and monthly consumption patterns, progressive stage, and overcharge notification service. It helps to consume energy reasonably.

Park Yeong-gil, head of the Energy Policy Division, said, “We will ask for a lot of participation in multi-family housing as it will help us to improve the energy efficiency of multi-unit housing as well as reduce electricity bills by generation.

Apartment houses wishing to participate in the smart grid addition project in 2018 can apply to the city's energy department from September 2018 to October 9, 20, and details can be found on the Incheon City Hall website.
