Busan City (Mayor Oh Geo-don) announced that a total of eight tasks were selected for the '2019 Smart City Pilot City Regulation Sandbox Project' hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, including three tasks in the robot field and five tasks in the smart healthcare field. .

The '2019 Smart City Pilot City Regulation Sandbox Project' runs for a total of two years (2-2019), and is blocked by regulations in the Smart City National Pilot Smart City, a test bed where innovative technologies and services of the 2020th Industrial Revolution are implemented. It is a project to support the demonstration and commercialization of innovative technologies without any restrictions.

이번 공모에서 ‘인공지능(AI) 기반 병원용 자율주행 및 다기능 신체약자 이송로봇 실증사업’ 등 8개 과제가 부산시 지원대상 과제로 최종 선정되었으며, 1년차에는 과제별로 국비 2~3억 원을 투입해 계획 및 설계비용을 지원하고, 성과물이 우수한 기업은 2년차에 최대 국비 10억 원을 지원받아 규제특례 적용 및 실증 사업을 추진하게 된다.

In particular, six of the selected tasks are the results of efforts to reflect the city's policies and supplement the project content by establishing a cooperation system between the city and local companies from the project planning stage. It is meaningful that it has laid the foundation for the growth of local companies for the introduction of the national pilot smart city service in the future.

An official from Busan City said, “We will continue to cooperate with related organizations so that the selected task can be designated as a second-year regulatory special demonstration project. We will not spare any support so that we can contribute to the creation of new technologies and new businesses.”

On the other hand, a total of 57 projects were received for this contest, and a total of 18 projects (11 in Busan and 7 in Sejong) were selected after the evaluation committee made up of private experts.
