MOLIT selected 7 regions for the Smart Challenge project

  

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport is based on the evaluation of the main project of the 2020 Smart Challenge project, and out of the 2019 regions selected for preliminary project support in 10*, the City Challenge covers a total of 3 regions, including Bucheon, Daejeon, and Incheon. For the challenge, a total of four regions, including Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Suyeong-gu, Busan, and Gongju and Buyeo, were selected as targets for the main project. 

Smart City Policy Trend

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport breaks away from the creation of a public-oriented smart city, and the private sector participates in smart city planning from the beginning to the operation stage to manage the city.
In order to implement a sustainable smart city creation model such as management, the'Smart City National pilot smart city (Sejong 5-1 living area, Busan Eco Delta
City)' will be promoted to establish a special purpose corporation as a pilot city in which the public and public participate jointly. In this regard,'Smart City General Portal
(www.smartcity.go.kr)' has received corporate opinions and plans to promote a corporate public offering in the future.

Ansan City is actively promoting by introducing big data analysis in various municipal administration fields to provide data-based administrative services. The city of Uijeongbu has recently secured drone piloting specialists to build a spatial information theme map using drones, and is supporting advanced administrative services with drone aerial images. Smart City Policy Project

Smart City Integration PlatformIs a system that establishes a city safety net in connection with various information systems such as traffic, crime prevention, disaster prevention, and disasters of local governments.
