IDC hosted 2020 Smart City Asia Pacific Awards
Sejong Special Self-governing City was selected as the best city in public safety and smart security at the '2020 Smart City Asia/Pacific Awards' hosted by IDC, the world's leading IT market analysis and consulting organization.
The 2020 Smart City Asia/Pacific Awards is an international event in the smart city area that selects excellent government, public institutions, and private companies from 14 smart city eService categories divided by function.
IDC (International Data Corporation) selected 6 winners in 14 areas including ▲administrative ▲citizen participation ▲digital capital and accessibility ▲public safety and smart security in the Asia-Pacific region excluding Japan at the sixth event this year.
The city attracted attention by presenting'Smart Sejong Platform-Based Crime-Safe City Service', which is co-promoted by NAACC and LH in the Public Safety-Smart Security Division.
The city utilizes its own digital data linkage to prevent crimes such as ▲Sejong relief app ▲CCTV emergency bell, music broadcasting, ▲intelligent screening control, number recognition CCTV, and object re-identification.
In addition, the city received high praise for contributing to public safety by providing 112 kinds of life data such as safety, transportation, and environment using ▲Smart Portal'Sejong N'. .
With this award, the city was recognized for contributing to promoting the safety and innovation of the platform-based crime safety service using the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
“In the second half of this year, we will introduce intelligent video control technology in earnest and improve the function of'Sejong anxiety' so that it can be used for the management of infectious diseases,” said Jang Min-ju, manager of the smart city. I will complete the safety service model.”
