-"Smart parking robot service" regulatory special review passed... Bucheon-Incheon-seo verification test 

□ Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport announced that “Smart Parking Robot Service” passed the special case for industrial convergence regulation on October 19th.
ㅇ 「Smart Parking Robot Service」 is an unmanned parking system that automatically handles the delivery and storage of vehicles when a vehicle is placed at the entrance of a parking lot, and it is a project developed in cooperation with Bucheon City and Marrobottech Co., Ltd. since 2019.

□ To support this, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport held a meeting on the stable introduction of parking robot service in February.
ㅇ In March, a parking vehicle transporter (designated by Bucheon City, “Narca”) that can be parked using a mounted pallet (pallet) was developed and manufactured.


ㅇ Currently, it is in the verification test stage, and a special case for verification was received through the Special Case Review Committee for Industrial Convergence Regulation.

□ In the future, the smart parking robot service will be operated on a pilot basis for two years at off-street parking in Bucheon city (under Gyenam High Street in Jungdong, previously operated) and Bupyeong-gu in Incheon city (underground parking lot in Gulpocheon food town in Samsan-dong).
ㅇ Through this, the operation system such as recognition of the location and route of the parked vehicle transporter, vehicle lifting and movement is verified, and safety is supplemented.

□ The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport plans to establish standards for safety certification of transporters in the demonstration stage of parking robot service, and plans to revise the regulations of the parking lot laws regarding installation standards and safety standards for the service parking lot.

□ If the parking robot service is stably introduced through special cases of demonstration, not only the convenience of parking lot use will be improved and the number of vehicles waiting for parking (roaming) will decrease.
ㅇ By minimizing the entrance/exit space, etc., more than 30% of the parking space can be secured compared to the existing parking lot, so it is effective to save installation cost, and it is expected that the mooncock problem caused by a person opening or closing a car door will be solved.

□ The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport General Transportation Policy Officer at Eomyeongso said, “We aim to solve the inconvenience of parking through the smart parking robot service and establish an institutional foundation for the parking industry to develop further in combination with the high-tech IT industry.
