-Secured KRW 14 billion in government expenditure for'Smart Integrated Control System Construction

The city of Ulsan was selected for the '2020 Disaster Safety Special Grant Tax Leading Project' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and secured KRW 14 billion in national expenditure.
In the'Disaster Safety Special Grant Tax Leading Project', the Ministry of the Interior and Safety contests disaster safety projects that take into consideration the characteristics and environment of each region for local governments across the country to provide excellent projects based on creativity, effectiveness, and expandability. It is a project that supports the budget for selection and project.

The Ulsan city project selected for this contest is the'Scientific Disaster Management System Construction Project (Smart Integrated Control System)'.
The main contents of this project are to monitor the concentration of hazardous chemicals and environmental information in real time, and to establish a facility that allows citizens to disseminate disaster situations and emergency evacuation orders when concentrations above the standard are detected.

Meanwhile, for the selection of this public offering, the city of Ulsan has cooperated with experts in related fields to discover effective ideas, while visiting the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in person to explain the projects discovered.

Lee Byeong-hee, head of the Citizen Safety Officer, said, “It is expected that Ulsan's disaster response capabilities will be greatly improved through the establishment of a smart integrated control system.” I will keep trying to do it.”
