Gwangju Metropolitan City is planning to build a smart city in earnest by establishing a promotion system such as the Smart Cultivation Committee and Citizen Participation Groups, and discovering and pursuing smart public services tasks that citizens experience.

To this end, with the aim of creating a smart city experienced by citizens, the policy directions were'Establishment of a Smart City Creation Promotion System','Discover and promote citizen-friendly smart city tasks of selection and concentration', and'Customer-oriented big data establishment'.

– First, to establish a smart city promotion system, to expand citizen participation in the overall policy process, such as policy establishment, implementation, and evaluation, promote smart city creation centered on the Smart City Creation Committee, in which civil society groups, experts, and public officials participate. The system will be organized by March.

In particular, it plans to organize and operate a citizen participation group through public offerings for citizens so that citizens can actively participate in the smart city development policy, so that policies that citizens can sympathize with and experience can be discovered and implemented.

-Second, strengthen cooperation with related organizations and organizations such as civil society organizations, universities, autonomous districts, techno parks, and the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and discover and promote citizen-friendly smart city tasks of selection and concentration.

In particular, in order to actively utilize public offering projects of central governments such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Smart City Challenge Project, we will revitalize cooperation with universities and autonomous regions, and actively review administrative and financial support plans to prepare practical support plans.

-Third, establish and operate a customer-oriented big data system for productive administrative performance, such as enhancing the reliability of city policies and minimizing financial waste by accurately predicting administrative demand.

To this end, the results of big data analysis in four areas, including total welfare diagnosis and transportation infrastructure, which were promoted last year, were reflected in city policies. Starting with transportation and climate, data for each field will be accumulated step by step.

In addition, it plans to increase the convenience of citizens by establishing a system that integrates various portals (platforms) operated or planned by the city, such as child care, jobs, culture and art.

In order to establish and spread the foundation for the transition to a smart administrative service system based on artificial intelligence this year, Gwangju City inspects the entire local smart city development project and discovers and promotes specific tasks that can be implemented accordingly. ‧ Establish and implement a'Smart City Creation Action Plan' with the opinions of organizations.
