– “Magok Smart City Living Lab” started five projects this year… 5 demonstration support for 3 years
– Food delivery for 20 autonomous robots, electric kickboard charging and parking stations at 8 locations including Magoknaru Station
– Provided as a test bed for Magok infrastructure and demonstrate new technologies such as AI through cooperation between citizens, experts, and companies
– Online application by 5.(Fri) of 3.19 new project implementation organizations… Support 7 million won per project

□ Through the “Magok Smart City Living Lab”, which Seoul provides Magok as a test bed for 4th industry-related technologies*, the development and demonstration of innovative technologies for commercialization throughout Magok are actively being developed and results are being visualized.
○ 「Magok Smart City Living Lab」 is a project that discovers projects to realize a smart city optimized in Magok and provides smart information and communication infrastructure and public facilities in Magok to support technology demonstration. Citizens and experts also participate, and research funds of 7 million won per project are also supported.
○ Living Lab is a citizen-participating research promotion method in which experts and citizens participate in the whole process of the project, from project selection to project verification and result evaluation.
* 4th industry related technologies: artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, 5G+, smart manufacturing, intelligent robots, system semiconductors, future cars, bio health, service platforms, realistic contents, smart cities, blockchain, etc.

□ After the first step in '19, a total of 2 projects have been demonstrated in technology and service trials have been conducted over the past two years. Typical examples include food delivery services using autonomous robots, sharing economy through charging and parking stations dedicated to electric kickboards, and non-face-to-face health care solutions using wearable devices.

□'Robotiz' introduced a service that delivers lunch to office workers in Magok using an autonomous driving robot. (Trial service until 2.9.)

□ This technology developed by Robotics Co., Ltd. passed the government's'Regulatory Sandbox Demonstration Special Case' for the first time as an autonomous robot technology in December 19, and last year, the'Korea Robot Industry Promotion Agency' under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. It was also selected as'Market Creation Robot Demonstration Project'. Based on the results of the pilot service, Robotiz Co., Ltd. is continuously conducting demonstration services for the commercialization of technologies such as improvement and implementation of additional services.
○ This service is a method of dispatching a delivery robot from the control center when a customer orders through the app, and an automatic notification to the customer when the robot picks up food and arrives where the customer is. During the trial service period, 20 robots were simultaneously put into operation and operated, and various companies such as snack shops and cafes participated.

□'Dash Company, Inc.' has installed'electric kickboard parking and charging stations' in 8 locations in Magok district to operate a base-based sharing service.
○ “Electric kickboard parking and charging stations” have been installed at 8 major bases in the Magok district, including Magoknaru Station, to operate a base-based sharing service. In the future, it plans to install and operate a shared mobility station in Gangdong-gu.

□'Exo Systems Co., Ltd.' has established a non-face-to-face musculoskeletal health care healthcare platform for residents and workers in Magok area.
○ We are developing and demonstrating the'Musculoskeletal Health Care Platform', a non-face-to-face service that allows residents and workers in Magok to remotely manage the musculoskeletal system professionally at home. Participant feedback collected through demonstration will be integrated and reflected in technology and service development.

□ Seoul City is also launching five new projects for “Magok Smart City Living Lab” this year. The existing 5 projects are also supported continuously, so that a total of 10 projects are demonstrated at the same time.

□ To this end, we are recruiting five new project execution organizations (start-up companies, organizations, institutions, and consortiums) located in Seoul this year. Applications can be submitted online at the website of the Seoul Business Agency (SBA) (www.sba.seoul.kr) by March 5 (Fri).
○ After signing up as a corporate member on the Seoul Industry Promotion Agency (SBA) website, download the application form and submit the project application form and performance plan online.

□ Any institution that can solve the 4th industry core new technology through the Living Lab method by selecting one of the designated tasks (▴Health ▴Transport ▴Environment) and voluntary tasks proposed by the city can participate. Research funding of up to 7 million won per project is supported, and tests and empirical research can be conducted using information and communication network infrastructure and public facilities (such as Magok Square and Seoul Botanical Garden) in Magok District.

□ The evaluation is conducted in consideration of the feasibility of the project, the concreteness of the living lab operation plan, the technology development execution plan, and the management ability of the living lab method, and the final selection is made through the first written evaluation and the second presentation.

□ Sang-han Kim, head of the regional development headquarters in Seoul, said, “Through the Magok Smart City Living Lab project, we will not spare any support for smart city empirical research that citizens and businesses are creating together, rather than a supplier-oriented smart city.” “We will create Magok as an innovation base that develops and demonstrates technology.”
