Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Nam-chun) announced that it will begin full-scale operation of 'I-MOA Taxi', an intelligent shared taxi service that connects passengers with artificial intelligence in Yeongjong International City from April 4.
'I-MOA Taxi' is a new concept of taxi service in which when a vehicle is called with a dedicated calling app, an artificial intelligence algorithm matches passengers with a similar route and moves to the destination.
In 2020, the city was selected for the'Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Smart City Challenge' project to effectively support demonstration and diffusion, discovering a business model for solving urban problems using new technologies led by the private sector. Together with the consortium, it is demonstrating various smart mobility services such as demand-responsive I-MOD buses.
As part of this, we will demonstrate the I-MOA service that can be shared in Yeongjong International City for citizen convenience, coexistence with the taxi industry, and revitalization of the local economy.
'I-MOA Taxi' is a new smart mobility service that improves travel speed and fare reduction through shared rides, and improves safety and convenience.
